AIRS Board Nominations
Dear I&R Colleagues,
The AIRS Board Development Committee is seeking nominations from qualified and committed candidates to join the AIRS Board of Directors.
AIRS is a professional membership association of more than 1,200 organizations representing both comprehensive and specialized I&R programs. The Mission of AIRS is: "To provide leadership and support to its members and Affiliates to advance the capacity of a Standards-driven Information and Referral industry that brings people and services together." AIRS improves access to services for all people through quality information and referral.
Serving on the AIRS Board requires a personal and professional commitment. Only persons who have spent a minimum of one year on an AIRS Committee or served on the Board of an AIRS Affiliate and have demonstrated a willingness to attend meetings, volunteer for activities and follow-through on commitments shall be eligible to apply. Individuals from outside the I&R sector who bring specialized professional experience and expertise to the Board may be exempt from some of these requirements.
As the Board Development process moves forward, it will be select candidates with a range of skills and experience that are summarized on the Board nomination form. The Committee’s selections will also reflect its commitment to having a Board that represents the diversity of all I&R service providers.
